Advancing the quality of care in our community.
An integral part of Sarasota Memorial's Neuroscience Center of Excellence, the Institute for Advanced Medicine offers patient-centered multi-disciplinary specialty care, customized rehabilitation programs, break-through imaging technology, onsite laboratory testing, educational and support services, as well as the region's first medically oriented fitness center - Healthplex. |
Quality care begins with a quality diagnosis, so the next time you need a CT scan, ask your doctor about Sarasota Memorial's new
dual source Somatom Definition CT - at the Institute for Advanced Medicine. Only eight of these machines are in use in the nation; ours is the first in Florida and the first in a nonacademic medical center in the country. A new breakthrough in CT technology, this scanner using two x-rays enables physicians to obtain clearer images of the beating heart without the need for a patient to take medications. |
| The fastest, safest, most advanced CT scanner in the world, our dual source CT: |
 |
- Delivers unprecedented clarity and detail, faster than any beating
- Provides previously unattainable anatomical detail, including highly accurate coronary lesion measurements and plaque and tumor delineation.
- Scans patients without medications while using 50% less radiation than other CTs.
