WILLIAM A. STANFORD
(1998–2004, 2005–) (Chair 2001/2002, 2007/2008, 2008/2009)

William A. Stanford retired as vice president and corporate comptroller of Eli Lilly & Company and moved to Sarasota in 1996. In Indianapolis, Mr. Stanford was active with numerous civic and business organizations.

WILLIAM L. WEISS
(2006–)

William L. Weiss is the retired chairman and chief executive officer of the Ameritech Corporation, a company providing full service telecommunications services, advanced information services and security services in the upper mid-western United States. Mr. Weiss is a retired director of Abbott Laboratories, Hospira, Merrill Lynch, Quaker Oats and Tenneco.

MARGARET WISE
(2001–2007)

Margaret Wise, a native of Prentiss, Miss., attended Mississippi State University in Jackson. An entrepreneur, she owned and operated several businesses in Jackson before moving to Houston, Tex. in 1984. In 2002, she co-founded Designing Women Boutique, a charitable organization that supports arts and human services.

Louis E. Levy was a partner and vice chairman in charge of professional standards and quality assurance at KPMG–Peat Marwick International accounting firm and was a member of its board from 1978 to 1990

(2006–)

Donald H. Rowe is the publisher of The Wall Street Trader, Breakout Stocks Alert Service and the award-winning Wall Street Digest. Mr. Rowe also serves as chairman of the board of Carnegie Asset Management, one of Wall Street’s most respected investment and financial management groups.

DAVID S. BAND, ESQ.
(2006–)

David S. Band is president and shareholder of the law firm of Abel Band. In his law practice, Mr. Band has represented national, state and regional corporations, lenders, multi-million dollar estates, insurance companies, major developers and partnerships.

 

 


PHILIP A. DELANEY, JR
(2000–2007) (Chair 2005/2006) (2008–)

Philip A. Delaney, Jr., is president and chief executive officer of Northern Trust in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, a position he assumed in 1999. He joined Northern Trust in Chicago more than 30 years ago.

 

 

LAWRENCE P. ENGLISH
(2007–)

Lawrence P. English had a distinguished 33-year career with CIGNA Corporation and its predecessor, Connecticut General Life Insurance Company, serving as president of three divisions. Later Mr. English served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Aesthetics Medical Corporation Management, Inc., a physician practice management company for plastic surgeons. In 1999, he founded Lawrence P. English, Inc., a private crisis management and turn-around management firm. He was recruited to be CEO and a director of QuadraMed in 2000.

 

 

SALLY GAMBLING
(2005–)

Sally Gambling brings extensive experience in volunteer work for numerous philanthropic organizations including the Junior League and Family Services, both on Long Island and the Central Park Conservancy and Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. She is a former member of the Venice Hospital Foundation board and the Venice Hospital board.

 

 

RONALD G. GELBMAN
(2008–)

Ronald G. Gelbman retired from Johnson & Johnson in April 2000, after serving as Worldwide Chairman of the Health Systems and Diagnostics Group. He was also a member of the executive committee of Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Gelbman began his career with Johnson & Johnson in 1972, serving various senior level positions throughout the company.

 

 

CAROLYN ANN HOLDER
(2007–)

Carolyn Ann Holder has developed and built several real estate projects with her husband, Doug. She also owned an operated a dance school and was a director of the Barbizon School of Modeling in Atlanta, Ga. and Mobile, Ala. Mrs. Holder has served on the board of trustees for Highlands-Cashiers Hospital in North Carolina.

 

 

HOWARD ISERMANN
(1996–2002, 2003–)

Howard Isermann is a 1942 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in chemical engineering and is a member of the Institute’s Alumni Hall of Fame. Mr. Isermann developed the ultraviolet absorber that has become the most effective sunscreen in the world while working for Van Dyk & Co. In 1980, he founded Novarome Inc., manufacturer of fragrance compounds used in a wide variety of consumer products from soaps to perfumes.

 

 

KATHERINE M. KEELEY, M.D.
(2006–)

Katherine M. Keeley, M.D., a pediatrician with Pediatric Associates of Sarasota, has been in practice for 25 years. In 2001, she served as chief of staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Currently she acts as medical director of the Child Protection Center and is a clinical assistant professor at Florida State University College of Medicine.

 

 

CHARLES KNOWLES
(2004–)

Charles Knowles is an entrepreneur committed to serving the Sarasota community. Mr. Knowles has been past president of Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Suncoast Communities Blood Bank and the Wellness Community of Sarasota.
