The Foundation’s Annual Healthcare Education Luncheon will be held on Feb. 4, 2009, at Michael’s On East. Guest speaker will be Sarasota Memorial surgeon Russell Novak, M.D. Dr. Novak’s presentation will feature the Breast Specimen Imager—provided by a $92,850 grant by the Foundation—for lumpectomy and surgical biopsy patients at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Tickets are $25 per person.
Our signature Corinthian Gala is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. This elegant event, held every three years, is being co-chaired by Deb Knowles and Myrna Band. The Rocks the Ritz trendy nightclub theme will feature a sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere, and cocktail attire instead of formal black-tie apparel. Tickets will be $250 per person and $500 for patrons.
The 8th Annual Physicians Golf Tournament is being held at the Meadows Golf and Country Club on Friday, May 15, 2009. Cost to play is $195. The field is limited and fills quickly, so contact the Foundation to be sure you receive the tournament brochure.
