Sarasota Memorial Robotic Surgery – Gynecology

Sarasota Memorial was first in the region to expand use of the da Vinci-S robot to offer minimally invasive robotic surgery for women with gynecological cancers and a range of non-cancerous gynecological conditions, including hysterectomies, partial hysterectomies, myomectomies and other laparoscopic surgeries.

Using the da Vinci-S system, Sarasota’s minimally invasive surgeons can accurately pinpoint cancerous or diseased areas with less damage to healthy tissue, organs, and surrounding nerves. Here, as with urologic surgery, minimally invasive technology benefits patients by causing less trauma, blood loss, scarring and pain. Studies also show that it can also provide better cancer control and ultimately improve long-term outcomes.
