Culture Changes Within Nursing 2006
Friday • Sept. 15, 2006
9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Program Overview
The challenges within today’s nursing culture are
enormous, with new innovations supported by evidence-based practice
ever present. By learning about the barriers, challenges and
successes of others, conference participants can learn how to
influence their own work environment during the change process.
Participants also will learn how others have positively impacted
nursing outcomes by changing the environment for patients and
families. This conference will help Nurse Executives, Clinical
Nurses, Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists and student
nurses gain a higher awareness of how they can manage, influence and
impact the change process, the nursing environment and the nursing
profession itself.
This conference provides opportunities to:
• Recognize the impact of individuality in our patients and
ourselves.
• Learn from nurses who have implemented change in their work
environment.
• Identify the importance of reflective practice in practice
innovations.
• Identify key stages of implementing change.
• Identify the importance of patients’ experience when implementing
change.
