PRIMARY & SPECIALTY CARE FOR THE UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED

Sarasota County is home to a network of primary care providers, which Sarasota Memorial supports through ongoing financial support and community partnerships.

Primary care is provided to senior citizens at the Senior Friendship Centers, to low income residents of all ages through the Sarasota County Health Department and to people and families of all income levels at the North County Health Center.

Residents who require specialty or surgical care and lack insurance or adequate insurance due to financial hardships can apply for free care through Sarasota Memorial’s Community Medical Clinic. You must have a referral from a primary care physician or one of the organizations mentioned above.
